This morning, I officially announced my candidacy to the media and about 40 supporters. Thanks to everyone who came out for my political debut! It was my first time and I left more excited about this campaign than ever.

Since I am new to the political world, I wanted to take a moment to explain my political philosophy. I have been a lifelong Democrat and I’m proud of the contributions my party has made to American political life - voting rights, civil rights, promotion of individual liberty and privacy, health care, social security, welfare, environmental protection, and corporate regulation. Though I am a loyal to the central tenets of my party, I have been dismayed at the corruption I’ve witnessed within our party in Illinois. It’s one of the central reasons I got in this race.

We will be updating this site frequently with issue papers, breaking news, video footage and photos. We are in the first inning of what will be a long game and I hope you will check back often as we add content to this site. I also hope you will use the site to keep in touch with me.
